Updating BookLogs
I have my students update BookLogs during PRT (Personal Read Time). I conference with them weekly on their goals, and books they are
reading.
End of Each Month
At the end of each month I have my students record total books read for the month and set a new goal for how many books for the next month. I
have the students print a page. This page is graded and sent home for parents to view.
Grading
I am using the BookLog as part of my Fluency grade in reading.
I require my students to read at least 2 books at their reading level per month. One of those is an AR book.
