Global Projects
|
|
|
are like two way bridges with multiple lanes that establish connections between multiple sets of classroom.
The project should support and sustain widened perceptions, deeper understandings, create connection links for students, provide for the interchange of information.
Global projects focus on personal exchanges, data collection and comparisons, and problem solving and decision
making.
Selecting Projects
Does the project take the learner outside of the classroom? Is the project collaborative?
Is the project interactive? Is the project focused on ideas that help students connect to real life? Does the project timeline fit your class schedule? Does the project focus
on the standards and concepts being learned in my classroom?
Project Management Tips
- Start small, do a little project
- Make sure you have the technology tools needed to complete the project
- Don’t try to squeeze the project in, make sure you make it a focus during your day
- Don’t feel bad if you don’t complete the project - just try another one
- Make sure the project have a “real” person you can contact if you need help or have questions
- Avoid Projects that do not have a 2 way connection
