Web Visits

I use Web Visits to introduce new units, to create interest in a concept, or to trigger connections beyond what we are studying.

To Create a Web Visit

1. Locate a site that relates to a concept we are learning in class.
2. As a whole class journey to the site and visit with it.
3. Discuss observations, point out features, or connect to other things we are studying.

A Web Visit is a fun way to spend a few minutes every day. I have a standard link of Web Visit sites on the first page of my Classroom Launcher. As I develop lessons I collect a few sites that would make good Web Visit and add these to my content pages.
