Managing Files

eFolio management works the best in a server environment. The student and teach have access to the eFolio folders.

Here is how I set up my file structure.

booklog.xls

goals.doc

main.doc

math.xls

proj.doc

rdgrsp.doc

record.xls

stories.doc

mystories

myprojects

mary

zefolio copy

At the completion of each project or story I have the learner copy the file into their eFolio folder (mystories or myprojects) and link to it from within their folder.

The zefolio copy folder is a copy of a blank efolio for new students or used if a student deletes a file.

Great Ideas

Conference time is a great way for students to show off their eFolios. I schedule a child and parent to come in and view the eFolio for 10 minutes while I am finishing up the previous conference.

At the end of the year burn a CD of each child’s eFolio. This becomes the electronic scrapbook for the family.
