Technology Work Zone

Create a technology work zone on your server. Make sure everyone has access to that area. We have a zone called hinshaw students.  In there we create folders to for each project we are doing. 

It looks like this

Saving work
Students save work with their names then the project or assignment name.  I have them put there name first. This makes it easy to tell which files is whose.

Warning:   Back up work often. I try to burn a CD of the work area at least once a month.   Also once you start saving on server be sure to find out how much space you have been allotted for that area.  You will most likely need to beg more space. Remember techies like cookies! Each year our class stores about 1 gig worth of data At the end of the year. We burn CDROMs of each students eFolio.
