Creating an integrated multiple computer classroom is full of parts and pieces, and when put together create an active, learner centered, project-based classroom. 

Technology Integration Standards
These are the purposes for which my students use technology in our classroom. Selection of the standard usually depends on where we are in concept or skill development.

In my class my students will use technology to:

  • Find Information, build concepts, develop strategies, and practice skills
  • Research, solve problems, and make decisions
  • Present ideas
  • Reflect and Set Goals
  • Be Responsible Learners

Integration Examples

In Reading
Lesson: Locating answers to questions, read for key ideas
Technology Standard: Use technology to find information, build concepts, practice skills and strategies

In Writing
Lesson:
5 paragraph essay, creating topic sentences, stating main idea
Technology Standard: use technology to present ideas

In Math
Lesson:
comparing data, graphing, mean, median, mode
Technology Standard: use technology to find information, build concepts, practice skills and strategies

In Social Studies
Lesson:
causes of the American Revolutionary war, timelines
Technology Standard: Use technology to research solve problems, and make decisions
