Teaching with WWW Sites

WWW Visits
The teacher with students visits a web site to check out something. This is kinda like a really short field trip.

eTrip
This is an electronic field trip.  A teacher would use this with students to explore a new topic or experience a new place.

Skills Practice
Use a site to practice a skill or learn a strategy.

WebByte
A WebByte is a one site, one teaching point, usually one time at the computer lesson or activity. It has the students visiting a site and then doing something with the information they find at the site.

    Water at Home
Find out how much water your family uses.  Use your data to create a class graph.

    Who lives in the Rainforest?
Use the web site to find out how many animals live in each layer of the rainforest.

Research Investigation
An Investigation is a complex research project that provides learners with the opportunity to explore the world around them in depth and in insightful ways. Working over a period of several days teams of students are presented with a BIG question or a problem to solve.
