Revising

In WORD you can add comments in the form of little yellow stickies or record comments to a piece of writing.

Add a Comment
Have open the piece of writing that is being revised. Place the cursor where you want the comment to be viewed
1. Click Insert
2. Click Comment
3. At the bottom of the screen the comment window appears. Enter your comment
4. Click closed
5. The comment will appear when you mouse over the highlighted area

Record a Comment
You can also use the microphone and record a comment.  The student can open the piece and listen to the comments. The student can begin revisions without waiting for a teacher conference.
1. Repeat Steps 1 -2 above
2. This time select the record button.
3. Click the red record button on the Sound Object box
4. Speak slowly and clearly into your microphone
5. Click stop on the sound object recorder
6. Click the box closed
7. A sound icon appears, Click and drag the icon to the place in the piece where you want the audio comment.
